Crackers and cheese

Crackers and cheese make a great snack but when out and about can go a bit soggy. Here is a recipe for the lunchbox to prevent this happening.

Ingredients

  • 2 wholegrain cracker-bread
  • 1 low-fat cheese spread triangle
  • 1 small tomato, sliced, wrapped in cling-film
  • 4 slices of cucumber, wrapped in cling-film

Method

  1. Open lunchbox, take out crackers
  2. Spread the cheese on top
  3. Add the tomato and cucumber

What you will need

Serving suggestions

Try low-fat cheese spreads, cream cheese or cheddar. Mix and match toppings to create your own!

Cheese is a great source or protein and calcium and with many low-fat options available it’s a great lunchbox filler.
