Safefood is an implementation body set up under the British-Irish Agreement with responsibility on an all-island basis for promotion of food safety and healthy eating, research and fostering scientific co-operation.
Temporary Maternity Leave Cover – Receptionist / Administrative Assistant (Part-Time 3 Days per Week)
Applications are invited for the temporary position of Maternity Leave Cover -Receptionist/ Administrative Assistant based in our Cork head office. It is expected that the assignment will be for 9 months and will be part-time. The position is based on-site in our Cork headquarters and the days required are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
The receptionist provides administrative and clerical support to the organisation and, as the first point of contact for visitors, Safefood’s receptionist must provide a positive image of the organisation to both internal and external customers by managing the front desk. They are responsible for coordinating front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls and for coordinating and administering Safefood’s travel desk, procurement and in-house event organisation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Leaving Certificate (Standard/Ordinary Level) – 5 grades A-D (including Maths and English) or 5 GCSEs grades A-C or equivalent (including Maths and English) with a minimum of 2 years clerical/administrative experience.
OR
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as outlined above with no qualification requirement.
- Good IT skills with previous experience in Microsoft Office product suite in a business context.
- Experience of dealing with customer queries in person and by telephone
- Experience of handling correspondence and keeping records.
Salary
€18,464 per annum
