ICT and Facilities Executive
Applications are invited for the position of ICT and Facilities Executive based in our Cork head office.
Safefood is an implementation body set up under the British-Irish Agreement with responsibility on an all-island basis for promotion of food safety and healthy eating, research and fostering scientific co-operation.
The ICT and Facilities Executive will provide advice and assistance to the ICT and Facilities Manager in developing and implementing Safefood’s ICT and Facilities strategy.
- They will review and maintain ICT and Facilities systems, policies and procedures in line with Safefood’s business plan, requirements and best practice.
- They will advise on and provide ongoing support for Safefood’s ICT systems configuration and integration with process controls and other systems used by Safefood.
- They will deliver key support activities to Safefood, ensuring that Safefood’s on premise and cloud-based systems and network runs efficiently, effectively and securely.
- They will also support the ICT and Facilities Manager with the procurement, implementation, support and development of Information Communication Technologies and Facilities.
Qualifications and experience
- A 3rd level qualification in Information and Communications Technology or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum of 5 years’ ICT experience gained within the public, private, voluntary or community sectors.
- Knowledge of and experience of networking and communications technologies including LAN/WAN, DMZ, on Premise Server environments, PC’s, Laptops, Mobile devices, Printers, Cloud services such as Server, Backup, Office 365 and Endpoint Management
Salary
HEO (NPPC) €55,492-€67,483
The appointment will be made at the minimum of the scale.
